Accessing Synapse VNA Studies in the Worklist
Introduction
The option to open VNA studies is integrated through the All Studies Global Worklist. When you select VNA as a datasource, the studies that display include studies that have been archived from other datasources and aggregated for disbursement through the Synapse VNA.
The option to view Synapse VNA studies is available in the All Studies Global Worklist and QBE Worklists created from the All Studies Global Worklist.
Note: |
|
Steps
- Right-click the preferred and supported Global Worklists header in Worklist pane to display a list of all the available datasources.
- If it is not already selected, select the check box that corresponds to Synapse VNA and click Close.
Note: |
Duplicate studies will display if a study exists in more than one VNA source and you have them both (or all) selected. |
Results
The All Studies Global Worklist displays studies that are stored in the Synapse VNA. The following features are available when Synapse VNA mode is set in SWAT:

- All Thumbnail Icon
- Help Guide
- Refresh button
- Log in button will allow you to click and log out

Limitations
Because Synapse VNA information originates from outside of the Synapse database, the following features, which are specific to Synapse PACS studies, are not available within a Synapse VNA study:
- Synapse VNA studies cannot be saved to Collections folders
- Context menu options: Reports, Notes, Documents, Scan Documents, Change Status, Change Priority
- Automated workflow (F8, F9, F12) is not available
- Snapshots are not available
- Selected columns that do not apply to the Synapse VNA study
- Advanced QBE operators ("\", "/", "$", "=", "!", "<", ">", "-", "&", "|") are not supported as the primary query
-
Multiple Row QBE is restricted to worklists in Synapse PACS datasources. Worklists that access VNA datasources do not support this feature.
