Adding an Arrow to a Vessel Diagram

Use the Arrow option to add an arrow with text to point to an area of interest on the vessel diagram.

Note:

You cannot use the keyboard shortcuts for adding annotations.

Adding an Arrow

  1. Click the Annotation Annotation tool on the vessel diagram toolbar. An annotation drop-down list displays.
  2. Select Arrow Arrow.
  3. Click the area of interest on the vessel diagram and drag the mouse to create an arrow.
  4. Optional: Insert text in the text box. See Adding Text to a Vessel Diagram.
  5. Click outside the text box when you are finished.

Editing an Arrow

  • Do any of the following:

If you want to ...

Do this ...

Move the Arrow.
  • Click the arrow.
  • Drag the arrow to another location on the vessel diagram.

Reposition the Arrow and the Text Box.
  • Click the arrow between the endpoints. Do not click the endpoints of the arrow.
  • Drag and drop the arrow or text box to a new location on the vessel diagram.

Resize the Arrow.
  • Click an endpoint of the arrow.
  • Drag the endpoint until the arrow is the size you want.

Delete the Arrow.
  • Select the arrow.
  • Press the DELETE key and click Yes.

Change the text.
