Reallocating a Series
Introduction
Reallocating a series moves the entire series from one study to another study. After the reallocation, Synapse displays the reallocated series in destination study.

Prerequisites
You must have the Content Management privilege to access this tool through SWAT. Synapse logs all changes.
Steps
- Navigate to System > Utilities > Content Management.
- If necessary, click Split Screen
to change the display to split pane.
- Locate the source series (the series to be reallocated).
- Select Admin, All Patients, or All Studies to search using the Query By Example (QBE) fields to locate the source study.
Tip: Enter the Accession number for more precise results. - Locate the destination study (the study that will receive the reallocated series).
- Search using the Query By Example (QBE) Fields - locate the correct study (destination) for the reallocation. The best way to accomplish this search is to enter the Accession number.
- Click and drag the source series to the destination study.
Results
Synapse transfers the source series folder to the destination study folder. All images in the source series folder display in Synapse with patient information from the host patient folder of the destination study folder.
Advanced Reporting Results
For Advanced Reporting (AR) studies, Synapse moves the measurements for all images in the reallocated series to the destination study. Synapse removes the measurements and derived calculations from the source study.
Synapse does not move the measurements if the destination study is not an AR study.
