Reallocating an Image
Introduction
Reallocating an image or multiple images moves the selected images from one study to a destination series. After the reallocation, Synapse displays the reallocated image or images in the destination series. For images, only a series folder is a valid destination. However, if you reallocate an image to a CR or an FCR study, Synapse automatically creates the required series structure.

Prerequisites

You must have the Content Management privilege to access this tool through SWAT. Synapse logs all changes.
-
The destination series folder must exist for all modalities except CR and FCR.
Steps
- Navigate to System > Utilities > Content Management.
- If necessary, click Split Screen to change the display to split pane.
- Locate the source image (the image to be reallocated).
- Select Admin, All Patients, or All Studies to search using the Query By Example (QBE) fields to locate the source study.
Tip: Enter the Accession number for more precise results. - Locate the destination series (the series that will receive the reallocated image).
- Search using the Query By Example (QBE) Fields and locate the correct Patient (destination) for the reallocation. The best way to accomplish this search is to enter the Accession number.
- Click and drag the source image to the destination series.
Results
Synapse transfers the source image to the destination series or study folder. The image displays in Synapse with patient information from the host patient folder of the destination series or study folder.
Advanced Reporting Results
For Advanced Reporting (AR) studies, Synapse moves the image measurements to the destination study. Synapse removes the measurements and derived calculations from the source study.
Synapse does not move the measurements if the destination study is not an AR study.
