Setting Your Worklist Column Preferences

You can easily adjust your Worklist column settings to best utilize screen space and set your preferred view, so it is available to you each time you open that same Worklist. Each of the following options is applicable to the Worklist that is currently displaying and can be configured independently on each Worklist.

  1. To change a column width, click and drag the vertical divider between any two columns to expand or collapse column size.

  2. To sort a column, click the column heading. You will see an indicator to show that the column is now sorted in ascending order.

  • Click the column again to sort in descending order.

  • Click it one more time to turn off sorting and return to the default sorting order.

  1. Using the search fields under each column, enter any patient information to return results.

  2. Select the search result that matches your preferred study and click to open it.

  2. Optional: Right-click in any empty area under the Collections heading in the Worklists pane and select New. The New Collection dialog box displays.
  3. Enter a name for the Collection folder in the Name text field.
  4. Click Save.

Using Global Worklists

Global Worklists, available in the Worklist pane, provide access to patients and studies across datasources (locations), giving you the ability to view studies from multiple locations within one Worklist.

To view studies in a remote datasource, both your user ID and your user role must exist in both the home and the remote datasource.

Setting permissions for your local Worklist is a separate task from setting permissions for your Global Worklists.

Image counts for studies retrieved from DicomSCU, SCV, and VNA datasources do not display in the Worklist, PowerJacket, and Viewer.

Reserving a Study

Use the Reservation feature to reserve one or more studies for reading. This is a privilege-based feature; see your System Administrator for more information.

  • To reserve a study from the Unread Studies Worklist or the Global Unread Studies Worklist, right-click on the preferred study and select the preferred option.

Here are some of the ways you can use the Reservations feature:

  • The studies you reserve display in the All Reservations Worklist or Global All Reservations Worklist, and in the Unread Studies and Global Unread Studies Worklists.

  • All of your display, sort, and sizing column preferences appear in the All Reservations and Global All Reservations Worklists.

  • A count displays in the Worklist pane so you can easily see how many reserved studies are in the All Reservations and Global All Reservations Worklists.

  • Create QBE Worklists under the All Reservations and Global All Reservations Worklists.

  • Add the All Reservations and Global All Reservations Worklists and any All Reservations or Global All Reservations QBE Worklists to My Favorites.

  • Reserve studies across datasources if you have the same role and privilege (or roles and privileges) in the other datasources.
