Displaying Thumbnails in the Worklist

Introduction

Synapse provides the option to expand and display thumbnails directly in the Worklist.

  • When you click the View All Thumbnails icon, the thumbnails for each study display in each study row, so you can quickly determine whether you want to open the study to view more images and information.

If you click to select a particular study and then click the View All Thumbnails icon, that highlighted study displays at the top of the Worklist page, regardless of its location prior to clicking the View All Thumbnails icon.

Steps

  1. With the Worklist open, click View All Thumbnails , located in the Worklist toolbar.
    • All of the studies in the Worklist display thumbnails, including All images and Bookmarks series.
    • Each thumbnail displays the same information as the Series Picker: series description, series, number, modality, and number of images within the series.
  2. Click View All Thumbnails again to turn off the thumbnails display.

Note:
  • If more thumbnails exist than there are columns to display them, an indicator displays on the right side of the thumbnails preview indicating that additional series are available. Open the study to view additional series. See Displaying Thumbnails in PowerJacket.
  • Once you select the option to display thumbnails, they display for the selected Worklist until you turn off the option or log out of Synapse.
  • Synapse displays a progress indicator in the Worklist or in PowerJacket, if there is any delay in loading the thumbnails for a Synapse Cardiovascular (SCV) study.

  • Thumbnails for Enhanced Display datasource studies (that are not in the DICOM cache) are not available until the study has been manually retrieved. This applies to the All Thumbnails view for PowerJacket and the Worklist.
