Editing a Lesion in a Vessel Diagram
Introduction
When you edit a lesion, you can change the length of the lesion both proximally and distally.
Steps
- Click the lesion.
- Click a red point in the lesion and reposition as needed.
Synapse displays points at the intersection of bifurcation or trifurcation vessels.
- Do any of the following:
- Click and drag the endpoint to the preferred length.
- Note: If you cross a vessel branch or segment boundary, Synapse adds an edit point to the lesion, assuming the intersecting segment is not disabled for any reason. This endpoint indicates a vessel bifurcation or trifurcation.
- Click and drag the red point into bifurcation.
- Click and drag the red points into the trifurcation.
- Click and drag the edit point of the extended lesion back to its origination point.
- See Moving a Lesion.
- Click each segment within the lesion.

Change the length of a lesion. |
|
Extend a lesion into a bifurcation. |
|
Extend the lesion into the third branch of the trifurcation. |
|
Delete an extended lesion without affecting the primary lesion. |
|
Move a lesion or stent (with an underlying lesion) to a vessel segment. |
|
Display segment properties for a lesion that spans multiple segments. |
|
Delete the lesion through the properties panel. |
Results
When you extend lesions into a bifurcation or trifurcation, Synapse updates the original lesion and callout with the updated segment names.
However, the extended lesion remains associated with the primary lesion. If you delete the primary lesion, the extension is also deleted.
