Saving the Presentation State
Use the Save Presentation State option to save the window level, rotate, and flip for one or more images in a series so that any user can display this saved presentation state on initial display.
For example, if you change the window level for multiple series in a study and then save the presentation state, Synapse saves the new window level for all changed series in that study.
You can save the presentation state multiple times, but Synapse only displays the last saved presentation state.
The following series cannot be saved with the presentation state:
- 2D slab thickness
- Synapse MPR or MIP
- Synapse Fusion
- Synapse 3D Console Mode
- Change the window level, rotate, or flip an image or series to your preference.
- Right-click the image to display the context menu.
- To save the presentation state, do one of the following:
- Select Tools > Save Presentation State.
- Press the Y key.

Applying Presets to an Image
When you apply a preset, Synapse applies the preset to all or selected images in the series, depending on which property is enabled: Tools > Apply to All Images or Tools >Apply to Selected Images.
When you apply a preset to an image for a specific modality, Synapse applies defaults to all images or just selected images. For example, when you apply a preset to a CT image, Synapse uses the Apply to All Image option by default. However, when you apply a preset to a CR image, Synapse uses the Apply to Selected Images option by default.
- Right-click the image to display the image context menu.
- Select Image Presets from the context menu.
- Choose the preset you want to apply to the image.
- Optional: To reload the image as acquired, right-click the image to display the context menu and select Image Presets > Display as Acquired.
