Using MPR Tumbling

Introduction

You can rotate the oblique view to gain better vantage points of the anatomical structures within the image.

Steps

  1. In MPR view, right-click an image to display the image context menu.
  2. Select MPR/3D > Tumbling. A tumbling cube with X, Y, and Z axes displays on the oblique view.
  3. Click and hold an axis and move the mouse to rotate the oblique view.
  4. Optional: Do any of the following:

    If you want to do this...

    Choose this option...

    Scroll to another image without cancelling the tumbling operation.

    • Use the mouse wheel to scroll to another image.

    Change the magnification of an image without cancelling the tumbling operation.

    • Press and hold the Shift key and scroll the mouse wheel.

    Cancel the tumbling operation.

    • Press the esc key.

    Revert to the initial state of the images.

    • Select Tools > Reset Image State.

Results

As you rotate the MPR view, Synapse automatically synchronizes and scrolls the images in the other views.

Additional Options

  • You can click any of the image orientation markers such as H, F, R, or L to start MPR tumbling.
  • Click Tumbling on the icon menu.
