Enhanced PowerScribe Support

This feature expands PowerScribe support to include PowerScribe One. Additionally, you can update the study status for all associated accession numbers sent using PowerScribe API and update the study reservation for multiples from PowerScribe.

New Columns in Support of AI findings

Use the AI specific columns to view status, triage and algorithm related information. To view AI results, you can add any of the following columns to the Worklist and to PowerJacket.

• AI Status

• AI Triage

• AI Algorithm

Enable AI Findings

Enable the AI Findings feature in User Settings to display the AI All button in the Viewer overlay. This option is disabled by default. With this option enabled, the AI findings display in the Viewer by default when you double-click and open a study from the Worklist.

Release Information Update

Update to the Title and Copyright page to display new document and version numbers.

Enhanced Icons

The new Lock icon provides a quick, visible means of determining which of the locked studies are yours.

The new Notified to the Dictation System icon displays to let users know when a user is actively dictating a study.

OIDC External Authentication Support

This feature allows you to log into Synapse using OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication providers, Azure and OKTA.

Thumbnail Display for Enhanced Display Datasources

Thumbnails for Enhanced Display datasource studies (that are not in the DICOM cache) are not available until the study has been manually retrieved. This applies to the All Thumbnails view for PowerJacket and the Worklist.

Patient Level Permissions

Start typing to select the appropriate role from the dialog box. Synapse matches the results as you type.

New Shortcut Key for AI Images

Use the 8 shortcut key to move to the next image in a series with an AI finding.

Advanced Study Permissions

Advanced Study Permissions is a setting used by System Administrators for sites that must comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is a legal framework of guidelines that establishes the way in which personal data is processed and protected.

With the Advanced Study Permissions setting enabled in Synapse, users are only able to view the studies and Worklists to which they have been granted access, either by the access rules configured in SWAT or manually at the role or individual user level.

Add Nuclear Quantification Automatic Launch User Setting

When enabled, Synapse automatically launches your configured nuclear medicine application for an unfinalized study.

This setting is only enabled for authorized users of Cedars-Sinai Cardiac Suite and INVIA 4DM.

Cedars-Sinai Cardiac Suite Nuclear Medicine Integration

Synapse supports the integration of Cedars-Sinai Cardiac Suite. This integration provides you with the ability to automatically launch nuclear quantification software for unfinalized studies. Once completed, Cedars-Sinai Cardiac Suite exports the XML Results file and measurement data to Synapse, where it is stored with the study and displayed in Clinical Reporting Application(CRA).

Epsilon Integration

Synapse supports the integration of the Epsilon ZF tool (ZF) tool for performing strain analysis in a Synapse viewport on 2D ultrasound (US) images. You can perform traces and then import measurement annotations and Secondary Captures in Synapse. This functionality is available for current Advanced Reporting (AR) studies only.

INVIA 4DM Nuclear Medicine Integration

Synapse supports the integration of INVIA 4DM. This integration provides you with the ability to automatically launch nuclear quantification software for unfinalized studies. Once completed, INVIA 4DM exports the XML Results file and measurement data to Synapse, where it is stored with the study and displayed in Clinical Reporting Application(CRA).

Reading Protocol Enhancements

Synapse Reading Protocol enhancements allow you to:

• Create multiple DICOM Reading Protocol (RP) rule cards:
  • Selecting an option in the Series Selection Menu (SSM) Update Viewport Rules submenu, by
  • Dragging a series into a viewport.
  • Using the Reading Protocol Editor, select the New Rule option.
• Create a secondary DICOM property rule card when a series is dragged and dropped into a viewport that already has an existing DICOM rule.
• Adjust the viewport rule hierarchy to control which series would be the first option displayed.
• Additional search flexibility in the RP Editor (Viewer and Standalone) using the Series Does Not Contain rule.

• Use Best Series Match per step across all monitors, using the Series Contains and Series Does Not Contain rules. Synapse assigns each viewport with the best series match based on the criteria you provide in the fields.

Reading Protocol DICOM Rules Updates and Additional Support

This feature provides you with the ability to build custom reading protocols, that are both procedure and modality based, and utilize Stage and View numbers from the DICOM properties. The DICOM property Reading Protocol (RP) viewport behavior for series or images, that is not a match, can be used to update the Rules target in the RP Editor. Dynamic Reading Protocol behavior remains the same for Stress Echo studies.

You can also set the RP step looping behavior as part of a user setting.

Annotation Context Menu for Non AR Studies

Synapse now includes the circle and elliptical ROI annotations in the context and icon menus for US and XA images.

Document and Verify Synapse Annotations

This feature encapsulates the research, reference, and modification required for Synapse Annotations enhancements as part of 7.1.

Enhancement to GSPS and to MG CAD for AI

When both the AI based GSPS/CAD SR and the converted DICOM SEG are available, the Viewer only displays the DICOM SEG as the AI result. The original GSPS/CAD-SR does not display in the Viewer.

Enhanced Hybrid First-loop Playback

This feature provides a smooth first-loop playback of hybrid multiframe cine after an image has completed download to the client. Additionally, the first-loop playback of an image is at the maximum frame rate. A new user setting was added to "delay" automatic playback until an image has fully downloaded.

When an image is not fully downloaded, the Viewer falls back to Zero Viewer behavior.

All Image Playback Support

This feature supports playing All Images series. You can playback each series or image at your preferred frame rate. You can also set a display time in the user setting for single frames or images. This is useful for mixed datasets.

The All Images series multiplier speed is adjustable and does not affect the default playback speeds set in the user settings Cine tab.

Image Orientation and Slider Bar Behavior

This feature provides slider bar orientation markersto indicate which part of the breast (for Breast Tomosynthesis) or anatomy (for non-Breast Tomosynthesis) you are currently viewing.

Spatial Tools Context Menu Changes

This feature adds new image justification options for mammography and tomography images, allowing you to justify images according to your preferences and the layout.

Additionally, this feature hides the context menu options for non-mammo studies.

User Configurable Cine Playback

This feature extends cine by providing greater personalization of playback speeds for sites and individual users. Sites can use a different frame rate than the default DICOM multiframe images frame rate. Additionally, you can specify and adjust the frame rate for non-multiframe series based on the series' modality, as well as specify and adjust the display duration of individually acquired images or secondary captures.

Improve Hybrid First-loop Playback

This feature ensures the first-loop playback of hybrid multiframe cine meets a clinical user's performance expectations. Cine playback will be smooth and at the maximum frame rate starting on the first loop once an image has been completely downloaded to the client.

Additionally, a new user setting was added to delay automatic playback until after all images are downloaded.

The Viewer falls back to the Zero Viewer behavior when the image is not fully downloaded.

Extend PDF Print Options

New Synapse PDF print options allow you to:

• Print directly from the Export Print dialog box.
• Select paper orientation when printing to maximize the layout of images according to paper size.
• Print a life-size image using True-size support.

Display Reference Lines during Cine and Scrolling

This feature adds a new user setting for displaying Reference Lines while scrolling, cine, MMF, and Dynamic Scroll.

Reorder and Delete Series from Series Picker

This feature allows you to reorder and delete thumbnails in the Anywhere Series Picker. A new privilege was created for this purpose and is independent of the Content Manager privilege.

Z-Scores Tables

The Clinical Reporting Application (CRA) calculates congenital normative data for many common measurements and calculations. The z-score tables provide definitions of the values for the available normative data, as well as their valid limits.

Multiple Fetal Measurements

For fetal-specific protocols, you can perform fetal measurements for up to three fetuses. Synapse groups all the measurements for a fetus in a dataset.

Phased Measurements

If an Analysis Configuration includes phase measurements, you can select a phase measurement from a drop-down list. Synapse groups all the measurements for a stage in a phase.

Congenital Cutoff Age

The congenital cutoff age is site configured. See your System Administrator for more information.

Google Chrome Support

Clinical Reporting Application supports Google Chrome.

Combo Box and Findings Control Functionality Change

Now combo boxes and findings control only open or close when you click on them. They do not open or close when you hover over the them.
